In addition to our Music Ministry  and our Ministry with University Students, University Church is also involved in the following ministries:

Food Pantry

The UPC Food Pantry is an agency of The Food Bank of Western New York. We serve Zip Codes 14068, 14214, 14216, 14221, 14226, 14228, 14260, 14261, and parts of 14223 (Streets entering Kenmore Ave and South of Paiage Av, Niagara Falls Blvd.,Grandview, Hawthorne, Lyndale, University, Montrose, Wendel, Claremont and Parkhurst.)                                                                                 

Hours of service are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

To register as an on-going client, please bring the following:
     1. Recent proof of residency (utility bill, phone bill, rent receipt)
     2. Proof of income for ALL family members
     3. Birth certificates for ALL minor children.

Emergency assistance is also available during regular office hours. We are here to help make ends meet. For more information call the office at 836-7660 or stop by to visit us during our hours of service. (Entrance is off the parking lot on Niagara Falls Boulevard.) 

The UPC Food Pantry invites you to join our volunteer crew! When would I work? On a Tuesday or Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. , one afternoon a month (or as many  as you wish). What would I do? Work with 3 or 4 other volunteers. You might guide a client through our "store" to help them choose their groceries; greet and “check in” our clients; help to stock shelves. If you and a friend would like to work together, we can schedule that for you. You will feel good about the time you spend with us.

UPC is a support congregation for
Family Promise of Western NY, providing meals and companionship to the families being helped through this great organization.


UPC is an active member of
VOICE-Buffalo, a faith-based community organizing project of urban and suburban congregations.

The mission of VOICE-Buffalo is to become a "Voice for the Voiceless" by:

     -Training leaders to engage in public life to make a difference for their communities
     -Acting locally to build relationship inside and outside their congregations that empower people to raise and address issues in their neighborhood and the city
     -Building regionally to break down the barriers that divide us and work to create an equitable distribution of economic and social resources.
